New Year, new Team Member........Silvergate welcomes Nick Hazel as HR Manager

A new challenge for me at Silvergate…

After years of working within a team of HR professionals, Silvergate is a new and exciting challenge operating as a stand alone HR manager within the world of manufacturing. I see my role as a great opportunity to promote positive change, where I can coach and support the development of people and influence sustainable growth.  

I see HR as a supportive function, where it works to support all people within the business, applying fairness to business process. I have developed a style that encourages collaboration between teams, coaching people to work with their natural style and ability.

We have great people at Silvergate. In a difficult recruitment market, we need to work hard to ensure we support people at all stages of their career, while attracting excellent people to further strengthen our workforce.

I always look to learn from the difficult times, and always celebrate success.

Outside of the 9 to 5 …

Away from work, I have a busy personal life. Based in Chester we have great access to the countryside while enjoying the benefits of the city centre. Family life often includes spending time walking our cocker spaniel; and of course all good weekend walks end at a pub!

We are very fortunate to have family and friends across the UK, meaning that trips to Edinburgh, Dublin, Bath, Devon and Cornwall are a fairly regular occurrence.
